Style Stories: Fran
We’re so excited to introduce our new imagery. I really wanted to create a story that would capture the essence of the CC-J brand - the idea of thoughtful design, gentle living and effortless style.
A little while ago I met the wonderful Fran when she came to the studio to have a look at the collection. We got talking and found we shared the same values when it came to fashion. We both aim to promote the ethos of considered consumption of fashion through our work.
When I was wondering who to ask to model the new collection for this shoot, Fran was the first person who came to mind.
I asked her to style the new collection however she liked. She decided the theme would be working with her wardrobe staples and adding gorgeous details with jewellery and accessories. She did a fantastic job working the CC-J aesthetic into her own style.
I asked Fran to gives us an insight into her style ethos:
Which pieces would you say are your favourite wardrobe staples?
- A pair of good high waisted vintage wash jeans, Button fly is a must
- A blazer, I have several and they really finish off an outfit. I love the way they toughen up or make a girl dress a bit more androgynous
- Midi skirts are my go to, they're perfect for trans-seasonal dressing or dressing for work when you want to look smart but mix up your outfit. They look great with sandals, trainers or heels and can be dressed up or down
What's your top tip when it comes to putting an outfit together?
Always dress for yourself, what makes you feel good, whether it's a forever favourite pair of jeans or a brand new dress you always want to feel like yourself in an outfit.
I also love trying things on and mixing things up to see what works and what doesn't, sometimes you have an idea of an outfit in your head and in reality it doesn't work at all; then something you thought wouldn't go looks great.
What's your favourite thing about CC-J jumpers?
I love the ethos behind the brand, celebrating craftsmanship and British industry. I love how the jumpers are very simple and classic yet you can tell a CC-J jumper from a mile off. It makes them incredibly one of a kind and unique which is very hard to achieve in this over saturated fashion industry.
I hope you love the imagery as much as I do and that it will inspire you when you’re styling your CC-J jumpers!
